Alpha Gamma Delta

On May 30, 1904, eleven women founded Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity International at Syracuse University in New York. Alpha Gamma Delta's vision is to "Inspire the woman. Impact the world". For over one hundred years, Alpha Gamma Delta has indeed inspired the woman, and those women have had a fantastic impact on the world around them. Membership in Alpha Gamma Delta is lifelong.

Sisterhood, scholarship, philanthropy, and personal development are important elements of life to Alpha Gamma Delta's the world over. Sisterhood lasts a lifetime, with opportunities to join alum chapters, advise, hold office, and contribute in a multitude of other ways. Alpha Gamma Delta International encourages collegiate members to put their studies first with the Strive for Pi program, which rewards members who achieve an overall GPA of 3.14 or above. In Gamma Upsilon, sisters are always ready to help tutor each other or study together in order to achieve higher academic standards. Gamma Upsilon also actively supports Alpha Gamma Delta's international philanthropy, the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, which supports research for a cure for diabetes. Gamma Upsilon beats its own fundraising abilities every year and is recognized as a "jewel chapter".

Alpha Gamma Delta also helps foster personal development through the college years. Sisters are a home away from home, a second family. Sisterhood is both a support system and an educational system. As a sister, a woman will be both inspired and loved by her fellow Alpha Gams.
