Symbols

Our most easily recognizable symbol is our mascot, the squirrel. The squirrel is a resourceful, energetic little guy. Alpha Gamma Delta women are themselves resourceful, energetic, and cheerful when called upon by a sister or the fraternity. The squirrel is dear to our hearts.

The red and buff roses, with the asparagus plumosa fern, are our flowers. No one but an Alpha Gam can truly appreciate the beauty of a red rose coupled with a buff rose.

Pearls are dear to an Alpha Gamma Delta woman as well. Pearls are traditionally a symbol of personal growth, and beauty. A pearl begins as a grain of sand, and becomes a beautiful jewel with time. This time in our lives will shape who we will become, and Alpha Gamma Delta truly helps sisters develop into beautiful pearls.

Our armorial bearings are truly beautiful and meaningful to Alpha Gamma Deltas. It is another cherished symbol of our sisterhood.

Our badge is our most treasured symbol. The badge identifies us as Alpha Gamma Deltas, but it also reminds us what we truly stand for. All women who wear the badge have so much in common, no matter where they are from or where they are going. They are all sisters.

Our purpose is not only beautiful, but an integral part of Alpha Gamma Delta. Click the acorn to read the Alpha Gamma Delta Purpose.
