Recruitment

Recruitment, or Rush as it was formerly known, is the process by which you join a Greek organization. At Montevallo, it will be a chance for you to decide if you want to be Greek at all, and if so which sorority you want to join.

Recruitment at Montevallo is usually held during the second week of school. The governing body for all of the National Panhellenic sororities on our campus, or the National Panhellenic Council, will do everything possible to keep Recruitment from harming your study time in any way. At Montevallo, Recruitment is laid back. No one is judging you by your clothing brand or hair style! It's also fun, no joke. Your Recruitment Counselors, or Pi Chi's, are there to serve YOU, and make the Recruitment process as informative, yet entertaining as possible. You'll spend four nights meeting with different sorority chapters on our campus. And no worries, if you decide that Greek life isn't for you, you do NOT have to join. Of course, every chapter really wants you to go Greek, no lie, but the decision to go Greek or not is up to YOU. If nothing else, it's one of the easiest ways to meet other women on campus...plus, you get a cool t-shirt.
